My name is Robin Llewellyn and it is with great enthusiasm that I serve the Southeast Polk community as an assistant principal at the High School. This is my first year in the district and I am thrilled to join such a valued community of learners and educators.
My primary goal is to support our students in their academic journeys and to ensure that our school is a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space for all. I believe in the power of education to transform lives and am committed to helping each of our students reach their greatest potential. I have the honor of overseeing our ELA, Social Studies, and Special Education ID/BD Departments, Credit Recovery, Academic Support Lab, and Student Services (SL – Z). I will work hard to assist our staff and students in a manner that best supports an inclusive and fulfilling learning experience.
I come to Southeast Polk High School with a background in health and special education, instructional coaching, and having coached athletics for over a decade at the middle school, Varsity, and collegiate levels. I am eager to bring my passion for learning, teamwork, and leadership to our school. My husband, Bryan, is a firefighter for the City of Des Moines, and our three children – Lilly, Hazel, and Ryder – bring us great joy!
I look forward to a fantastic year! Please reach out if I can be of assistance: 967.6631 ext. 2008 or robin.llewellyn@southeastpolk.org
