Welcome to Clay Elementary! We are one of eight Southeast Polk elementary schools that serves an estimated 650 preschool-fifth grade students with approximately 75 staff members. We pride ourselves on offering unlimited opportunities for our students to discover their genius! We will be instilling the 7 Habits to all of our staff and students through Leader in Me alongside our RAMS Way expectations of showing Respect, being Responsible, displaying Manners, and Safety. Together these programs support the social-emotional health of our students.
Each and every one of our staff members are also devoted to supporting and ensuring academic growth for all students. Our students engage in effective and collaborative learning opportunities daily in reading, math, science, and social studies which are aligned to our Promise Standards. These standards are the promise that we make to our students that they will leave each grade level having mastered. We ensure that we meet our students where we are by providing differentiated instruction to help them become their best version of themselves. Students also receive weekly learning opportunities in music, art, physical education, guidance, and media and our fifth-grade students may elect to participate in our band program.
We know that when we solidify a strong partnership between school and home our students are more successful. We cannot wait to collaborate with you and have a great school year!
