Recently, the Southeast Polk Community School District was one of four districts cited in the bestseller Learning by Doing – A Handbook for Professional Learning Communities at Work® Fourth Edition.
In the “Why Should We Implement the Professional Learning Communities at Work Process?” reproducible section, it states,
“At Southeast Polk Community School District, all elementary data points on statewide summative assessments exceeded the state average; grades 6-8 exceeded the state average in measures of ELA, math, and science; and the achievement gap in grades 7 and 8 math for students receiving free and reduced lunch narrowed by 14 percentage points (Solution Tree, 2024i).”
