We are thrilled to invite you to a momentous occasion – the Southeast Polk Middle School Grand Opening!!
Join us as we celebrate the opening of the 6th and 7th grade Southeast Polk Middle School. This state-of-the-art building, designed to inspire and empower our students, will provide opportunities for our students and staff to foster a vibrant and energizing learning environment. The morning’s special event will provide an opportunity for our Southeast Polk community to come together and celebrate the opening of this new building.
Date: Saturday, September 14, 2024
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, with a short presentation at 10:30 a.m.
Location: Southeast Polk Middle School, 501 Falcon Drive, Altoona, IA 50009
The morning’s activities include:
Welcome Address at 10:30 a.m.: Southeast Polk Superintendent Dr. Dirk Halupnik, School Board President Brett Handy, Middle School Principal Nathan Ballagh and others will share their thoughts and appreciation for this achievement
Ribbon Cutting following Welcome Address: Our 6th and 7th grade RAMbassador students will cut the ceremonial ribbon to symbolize the opening of their new school
Building Tours: Our student RAMbassadors will be giving informative tours of their building to the public throughout the morning except during the presentation
Pancakes provided by the Southeast Polk Kiwanis throughout the morning with all funds raised going back to the Middle School Leader in Me program
Parking: General parking is available in the SEP Middle School Parking lot. Please use the entrance on Falcon Drive.
