Every year, Mission Transition is traditionally an opportunity for our 6th graders to get acquainted with moving from their elementary buildings to the first step in their secondary education. This year, both 6th and 7th graders could register for either July 30 or August 6 to see old friends, meet new friends, check out the new building, and meet some of their teachers.
Students were split into 3 groups and then rotated through 3 activities: 1. Tour the new building, 2. Collaborate on the Tennis Ball Tower Challenge and 3. Break-in the new gym with fun games. Hundreds of students got their first glimpse into life in the new Middle School.
On August 12 and 14, students and families will have the opportunity to find their lockers, find their classrooms, and visit the nurse and office staff.
7th Grade Orientation will be held August 19th. Students last name A-L will meet at 5:30 pm and students last name M-Z will meet at 7:00 pm. Both students and parents are encouraged to attend to learn more about our school and meet their teachers.
NOTE: The new date for 6th Grade Orientation will be August 21st. The change is due to a conflict with SEP Black & Gold Night on August 20th. Students last name A-L will meet at 5:30 pm and students last name M-Z will meet at 7:00 pm. Both students and parents are encouraged to attend to learn more about our school and meet their teachers.
Parents/Guardians – as always, check for emails from your building.
