Southeast Polk Dollars for Scholars awarded 315 scholarships for a total of over $265,000 to our SEP Seniors at last night’s annual event!
The Southeast Polk Dollars for Scholars Foundation, as well as hundreds of businesses, families, and organizations in the Southeast Polk area make these scholarships possible each year.
SEP Dollars for Scholars has been awarding scholarships since 2001. The organization’s mission is to provide financial scholarships to our grads who wish to further their education. Whether the goal is to attend a trade school, junior college, business education, university, or join an apprentice program, the foundation supported by a strong endowment fund, helps these young people pursue their educational objectives. Every student who completes an application is awarded a scholarship.
Attendees were informed of a special QR Code printed in the Dollars For Scholars Awards Program. When scanned, attendees could make a donation, and if $500 was reached during the event, another scholarship would be awarded. By the end of the evening, two additional scholarships were given!
