Willowbrook students went on a worldwide tour today! Culture Day 2023 was a fun and engaging way to learn about a variety of different cultures from professional presenters. Southeast Polk celebrates the diversity of our students, many from cultures that were highlighted today. Compliments of the Willowbrook PTA, and organized by Willowbrook’s ELL teacher Amy Olesen, students were dancing, playing music, speaking and learning about clothing and traditions from around the world. Whether the students were sitting on the edge of their seats while being told a Native American story or creating a Chinese New Year Paper Lantern or moving to the rhythm of music from India, everyone was engaged and having a wonderful time learning more about their classmates!
