See Disney’s classic tale of underwater adventure come to life on Southeast Polk High School’s stage, November 11-13. Ariel’s quest for love, adventure, and a sense of belonging promises to transport audiences of all ages as she’s joined by her pop-singing bestie, Flounder, and her great protector, Sebastian, in a battle against the evil octopus, Ursula. Tunes both new and old will have you humming along while the brilliant colors of the sets, costumes, and lighting bring the classic movie to life on stage.
In recent years, Southeast Polk’s fall musical has received rave reviews from the Iowa High School Musical Theater Awards bringing home top honors six times in the last seven years. This past June, SEP’s recent graduate, Noah Bowers, won an all-expense paid trip to New York City to compete in the national Jimmy Awards through his involvement in the vocal music department’s fall musical. He made RAM nation proud, placing in the top sixteen at the Jimmy Awards.
