Thank you to Iowa State Education Association/Southeast Polk Education Association Community Outreach Grants and all the contributors that donated books for our pre-school students! And congratulations to Southeast Polk teacher Tracy Dawson who applied and won a grant that she called “A Book in Every Hand” that provides all SEP Little Rams preschoolers in the district with a book of their own.
“I was so excited to get this for our Little Rams!!” Tracy shared.
Having books at home is critical for developing a strong foundation for learning, and it is especially important when students are spending more time at home. By the looks of these photos, our young learners are thankful for the partnerships that worked together to provide these resources at just the right time. Everyone’s efforts and support are very much appreciated. It doesn’t’ get any better than putting books in kids’ hands!
The Iowa State Education Association Community Outreach Grants help local members and/or local associations collaborate and create opportunities for community service or school projects. The outreach grants have turned out to be among the most popular ISEA programs and awards have been made in all parts of the state.
