Highlights from the August 6, 2020, Southeast Polk Board of Education Meeting

Approvals

• The Board approved the next Board meeting dates of August 20, 2020. 
• The Board approved the contract with Commercial Service Innovations, Inc. for Preventative Maintenance and Service for the 2020-2021 school year.
• The Board approved the various Board Policies listed as a first read.
• Dr. Dirk Halupnik, Superintendent, provided the Return to Learn Plan recommendation.
• The Board approved the Return to Learn Plan and the instructional learning models.

Presentations/Discussions:

• Dr. Jo Ellen Latham, Executive Director of Curriculum and Learning presented that SEP was named as a Model PLC District. 
• Joseph Horton, Associate Superintendent, presented an update to enrollment.
