Southeast Polk High School is thrilled to introduce the 2020 graduating class through this exciting video announcement. Due to the pandemic, we are unable to host our traditional graduation commencement ceremony today, Sunday, May 24 at the Knapp Center on the Drake University campus, but that didn’t stop us from coming “together” to officially celebrate the extraordinary class of 2020. The production reflects a collaboration of the entire high school staff and aims to honor and recognize this year’s graduates.
“We hope this video captures the emotions of the times while also showing the class of 2020 how much they are loved and supported,” said Principal Steve Pettit. “The video concludes by confirming the students in the class of 2020 have met our graduation requirements and can proudly claim their place as graduates of Southeast Polk High School.”
Southeast Polk High School plans to host an in-person celebration on July 18, 2020, if social distancing regulations allow it. If an in-person event is not possible due to social distancing regulations, then Southeast Polk will host a virtual commencement ceremony on July 18. Location and time are to be determined and will be finalized by Monday, July 13.
