Altoona Elementary PTA’s Fun Run may have had to move inside but that didn’t stop them from reaching their goal! Jessica Sporleder, PTA President, shared, “ Our goal was to raise $12,000 for a new Gaga Pit in the playground and continue to provide technology for Altoona Elementary. We also wanted to offer an activity that all students could participate in and enjoy – and we achieved all our goals! I’m stoked!”
Altoona Elementary K-5 students ran a course set up in the gym complete with lights, motivating music and students cheering each other on. Volunteers marked the laps completed on the back of each students Fun Run T-shirt. The top three classes to earn the most money per lap got an extra bonus. After the run, the students were able to pour slime on their teachers…and Principal Stotts!
