Centennial fifth grade students participated in the Meals from the Heartland Hunger Fight again this year. Students from Mrs. Freel, Mrs. Fitzgerald and Mrs. Peterson’s class all worked together to package meals that will feed over 11,500 people. Students had fun, but more importantly learned what it feels like to band together for a humanitarian cause and work towards a bigger goal that helps people all over the world and right here in Iowa.
