Please take advantage of a resource from the Heartland AEA to help your student during the summer. This Third-Grade Teacher’s Guide is organized according to the four Recommendations and How-to Steps from the WWC Educator’s Practice Guide Foundational Skills to Support Reading for Understanding in Kindergarten Through 3rd Grade. The included activities follow the typical developmental progression through which students learn to read. Although you may use this Teacher’s Guide sequentially, the activities are designed to be used flexibly. You can select activities based on your student’s instructional needs.
