The Southeast Polk School Board held a special board meeting on Sunday, May 16 to discuss the new COVID-19 guidelines released by the CDC on Thursday, May 13, and the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) late Friday, May 14.
After careful consideration, the SEP School Board voted to continue to follow our current mitigation practices, including required indoor mask wearing, for the remainder of the school year. The board voted to relax outdoor procedures, making masks optional for outdoor activities.
Thank you to our SEP community for your continued understanding and support to follow our district’s guidelines.
