SEP High School Reminders

2024-2025 School Year Reminders: Get your school picture taken, parking pass, school ID, add money to your students lunch account and learn about all the new Infinite Campus updates.

1.) Orientation:

  • Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • NEW – Students will need their student ID’s (mobile or card) to enter the High School starting the first day of school. The card ID will be available for pick up during orientation. Mobile IDs are available on their Infinite Campus Student App. 

2.) High School Fees: Click Here for instructions on how to pay for your students fees before the 2024-2025 school year begins. 

  • Fees include Text Book Fees, Parking Tags, Activity Passes, Lunch accounts, Activity Registration, and Athletic Tickets. 

3.) Picture Dates: Jostens will be at the High School on the following dates to take pictures.

  • Tuesday, August 6th, 2024  from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Wednesday, August 7th, 2024 from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Retake dates: 
    • Thursday, August 29th, 2024  from 7:30 am – 11:00 pm
    • Tuesday, October 1st, 2024 from 7:30 am – 11:00 pm

4.) First Day of School: The first day of High School is Friday, August 23rd, 2024.

5.) NEW High School Hours: 

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 7:35 am – 2:45 pm. Doors lock at 8:10 am
  • Wednesdays: 9:35 am – 2:45 pm. Doors lock at 9:35 am.

6.) Parking Information: All students who drive to school MUST register their vehicles EVERY school year and display their tag in their vehicles rearview mirror.

  • Step 1 –  Fill out the Student Parking Tag Electronic Form
  • Step 2 – Log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal to pay the $5 parking tag fee. Navigate to Fees > Optional Fees > Add to Cart. 
  • Step 3 –  The student can pick up their parking tag from the SEP High School Administrative office. NOTE: The Student must show their valid driver’s license or driving permit to receive a parking tag. 

7.) NEW Attendance Reminders: If your student is going to be absent from school, the attendance office must be notified by using the Absent Request Portal located in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This is a relatively new portal feature and is the preferred method for reporting a student’s absence.

  • How to access the Parent Infinite Campus Absent Request Portal (Instructions)
    • Log into Infinite Campus > Select More > Absence Request. It’s also located on your Infinite Campus home screen under Quick Links. 
    • The Infinite Campus portal is accessible from a computer or through the mobile app.
    • View our Attendance Protocol document which states our attendance expectations for absences.

8.) NEW Infinite Campus Portal Updates: 

  • Mobile Student ID’s: are now on your student’s Infinite Campus portal. 
  • Entry Door ID Scanners: Students will need to scan their mobile or physical ID when entering or leaving the building during school hours. This includes Study Hall Release students. 
  • Students will also need their ID to scan into the Guidance Office, Nurses Office, Principal’s office, Study Hall and the Library.
  • Absent Request Portal: Located on your Homepage towards the bottom under Quick Links or under the More menu option. 

9.) Student Activity Passes: Now available for purchase for the 2024-2025 school year. The prices are as follows:

  • Grades 9-12: $60. Good for all home and conference away athletic contests (excluding state events).
  • Grades K-8: $40. Good for all home athletic contests (excluding state events).
  • The link to purchase can be found in the Infinite Campus parent portal. Click “fees,” then scroll to the bottom of the page and click “optional payments.”  From there you can add the pass to your cart to purchase.

10.) Parent Teacher Conferences:

  • Fall Conferences 
    • Monday, October 7th, 2024 from 4:00 -8:00 pm
    • Wednesday, October 9th, 2024 from 12:30-7:30 pm (Note: No Late Start, 1st period starts at 7:35 am)
  • Spring Conferences
    • Monday, March 10th, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 pm
    • Wednesday, March 12, 2025 from 12:30-7:30 pm (Note: No Late Start, 1st period starts at 7:35 am)

11.) Guidance Office Updates:

  • Physical Education Opt Out: Parents or guardians may complete this Physical Education Opt Out Form to request their student be excused from P.E. class. This form must be completed each semester the opt out is desired. Physical education grades for students who have opted out of P.E. will be listed as excused on the report card and transcript.

12.) Academic Support: The following academic support opportunities are available to all Southeast Polk High School students. Please contact your teacher, counselor, or administrator if you have questions or are in need of assistance beyond what is listed here.
