Activity News: 

Boys Wrestling:  Congratulations to your 2025 IHSAA State Wrestling Class 3A team champions – Southeast Polk and the Class 3A Tournament MVP Cooper Martinson! Way to go athletes and coaches! Come celebrate the 2025 IHSAA state dual and traditional wrestling champions on Tuesday at 5:30 in the SEP gym. Enter through the Athletics entrance on the west side of the building.

Girls Basketball: Class 5A – Region 4 Semifinal – Southeast Polk Rams defeat Ottumwa Bulldogs 63-34. Their next stop is Ankeny on Tuesday to take on the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars for the regional championship. Tip off is 7:00 PM at Ankeny Centennial High School. Girls & Boys Bowling: Our Varsity bowling teams are headed to the Cadillac WBC bowling alley in Waterloo Tuesday & Wednesday to compete in the State Bowling meet. Click on links for scores and updates on Girls Bowling and Boys Bowling. 

Vocal Music: RAMS Showcase is scheduled for March 1st here at the Southeast Polk High School. Doors open at 7:00 AM. View schedules, tickets, live stream and more.

Cheer Tryouts: April 11th are tryouts for 9th – 12th grade cheer. They will be held at the High School in the auxiliary gym starting at 4:00 PM. The pre-tryout practiced is scheduled for April 9th in the auxiliary gym from 3:15 – 5:00 PM

RhythAMettes: Tryouts for next year’s team will be held on April 15th – 16th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the auxiliary gym.  All dancers entering grades 9 – 12 next year are eligible. Please contact head coach Marianne Peterson with any questions at marianne.peterson@southeastpolk.org

It’s time for our annual Career & Apprenticeship Fair here at the High School! Come out February 25th and explore a variety of apprenticeships and career opportunities. Building Entry Reminders:

Students: A friendly reminder when arriving to school after the doors are locked. Please use the correct entry doors to scan into the building. If you are late or coming back from an appointment use the LATE scanner so your attendance is accurately recorded. The Study Hall Release scanner is ONLY used for students coming in from release and Harbor students.

Visitors: When visiting the High School during school hours, please park on the east side of the building in visitor parking. For security purposes, enter the building through the east main entry doors so we can get you a visitors badge. Note: You will need your drivers license to get a visitors badge.

Student Drivers Permits:

After the student has completed Driver Education, visit the High School front office to receive the appropriate paperwork to take to the DOT office.  The student must also have their a current permit available.


Driver Education:

Driver education classes held at SE Polk High School in November and December. Students, guardians or parents may register online at www.StreetSmartsDriversEd.com or they may call our office to register over the phone at 515-279-1112.
