We want to welcome your child to the 2021-22 Kindergarten class here at Delaware Elementary. For some of you this is a new experience, while others may have already had a child attend Kindergarten. Either way it is an exciting time, as well as being a bit overwhelming for some parents. The most important thing to remember is, we are here to help you with any questions you may have about next year.
In previous years, we’ve hosted a parent Kindergarten meeting in April to go over the information and give you an overview of what Kindergarten looks like. Due to COVID issues, the Southeast Polk District has decided to forego the onsite meeting. We have put together a slideshow to introduce you to the Kindergarten program, teachers, and other information you will need to know for next year. Take some time to review the slides and then if you have any questions give us a call and we can help answer those.
You may also know that I am retiring, but I am here throughout the remainder of this school year. Mrs. Chelsea Clark will be our new Delaware Principal and she is excited to meet your children. Watch your emails throughout the summer for information about a time to bring your kindergartener onsite for a visit! Again, let us know if you have any questions we can answer for you.
